My childhood swimming hole, Wakulla Springs, Florida, was so clear the fish seemed to float in air. It was so clear we could see Old Joe, the resident 11-foot gator, mosey over to our side (we got out). The “Creature from the Black Lagoon” and “Tarzan” were filmed there, it was so crystalline.
